Alloschemone adalah genus tanaman pemanjat berakar yang selalu hijau[1] dalam famili Araceae yang berasal dari wilayah Amazon di Bolivia dan Brasil.[2][3] Hanya terdapat dua spesies dalam genus ini dan keduanya sangat langka. Kedua spesies tersebut adalah Alloschemone occidentalis dan Alloschemone inopinata. Pada satu titik dalam sejarah, genus Alloschemone sempat dibubarkan dan dimasukkan ke dalam Scindapsus, namun genus ini telah dikembalikan statusnya setelah dilakukan pengamatan lebih lanjut terhadap tanaman tersebut.[4]
