Astacidae adalah sebuah famili lobster air tawar yang berasal dari Eropa, Adia barat dan Amerika Utara bagian barat. Famili ini terdiri dari empat genera hidup; genera Astacus (yang mencakup lobster eropa), Pontastacus (yang mencakup lobster turki), dan Austropotamobius ditemukan di sepanjang Eropa dan beberapa bagian Asia barat, sementara Pacifastacus (yang mencakup lobster sinyal) berasal dari Amerika Serikat dan British Columbia, tetapi telah didatangkan ke wilayah-wilayah lain.
