Axis adalah sebuah genus rusa yang dapat ditemukan di Asia Selatan dan tenggara. Seperti yang didefinisikan oleh kebanyakan ahli sekarang, terdapat empat spesies pada genus ini. Tiga diantaranya dikenal sebagai rusa babi. Nama genusnya adalah kata yang disebut di "Sejarah Alam" karya Plinius Tua.[1]
