Boykinia adalah genus kecil tanaman yang berkerabat dengan saxifrage. Genus ini mencakup setidaknya sembilan spesies yang dikenal sebagai brookfoam. Brookfoam adalah tanaman menahun (perenial) merambat yang memiliki rizoma berkelenjar dengan daun yang sangat bercuping atau bergerigi serta perbungaan bunga-bunga kecil. Tanaman ini berasal dari Amerika Utara (pesisir barat dari Alaska hingga Baja California dan Amerika Serikat bagian tenggara) serta Asia (Jepang).[3]
