Cardiodictyon adalah sebuah genus lobopodia yang hidup sekitar 518 juta tahun lalu, dan diketahui dari Lagerstätte Chengjiang. Diketahui juga sebuah fosil sebagian yang berusia 525 juta tahun.[1] Genus ini memiliki sekitar 25 pasang kaki, masing-masing berhubungan denagn sepasang lempeng dorsal.
Terdapat sepasang cakar pada ujung tiap kakinya.[2] Barangkali hewan ini menyandang zirah kepala,[3] tetapi telah ditentukan pasti bahwa kepala hewan ini besar.[4]
Pada 2022, sebuah spesimen C. catenulum berusia 518 juta tahun ditelaah, menunjukkan kepala yang tidak tersegmen, serta otak yang terdiri dari tiga bagian sefalik.[1] Namun, meski "tiga bagian" yang disebut pada terbitan ilmiah tersebut merujuk kepada prososerebrum, protoserebrum dan deutoserebrum,[1] hal ini berbeda dari studi-studi yang mendahuluinya, yang merujuk protoserebrum, deutoserebrum dan tritoserebrum sebagai otak tiga-bagian dari arthropoda, dan menganggap posocerebrum sebagai bagian dari protoserebrum.[5][6]
