Channel 4 adalah sebuah stasiun televisi penyiaran publik di Britania Raya yang mengudara pertama kali pada tanggal 2 November 1982. Meskipun sebagian besar secara komersial didanai sendiri, stasiun itu akhirnya menjadi milik publik; awalnya merupakan anak perusahaan dari Independent Broadcasting Authority (IBA), Stasiun ini sekarang dimiliki dan dioperasikan oleh Channel Four Television Corporation, badan publik yang didirikan pada tahun 1990, mulai beroperasi pada tahun 1993 Dengan konversi grup pemancar Wenvoe di Wales ke digital pada 31 Maret 2010, Channel 4 menjadi saluran TV yang sama sekali dapat ditonton di seluruh Inggris untuk pertama kalinya.
Saluran ini didirikan untuk menyediakan layanan televisi keempat untuk Inggris di samping dua layanan BBC yang dibiayai lisensi televisi dan jaringan penyiaran komersial tunggal, ITV.
