Cynops atau yang dikenal sebagai salamander api, adalah sebuah genus salamander air yang berasal dari Jepang dan Tiongkok. Semua spesiesnya memiliki perut kuning cerah atau merah, tetapi ciri tersebut tidak hanya ditemukan dalam genus ini. Kulit mereka mengandung racun yang berbahaya bila dimakan.
