Ficus uncinata, juga dikenal sebagai Dali dalam bahasa Inggris dan sebagai ara entimau dalam bahasa Iban, adalah spesies tanaman berbunga, pohon buah-buahan dalam keluarga ara, yang berasal dari Asia Tenggara .[1]
Keterangan
Spesies ini tumbuh sebagai semak atau pohon kecil hingga 8 tingginya m, dengan batang hingga 2 m, dari mana stolon memanjang sepanjang permukaan tanah hingga 10 M. Daun berbulu coklat kehijauan berukuran 21–27 cm panjangnya 10–11 lebar cm. Perbungaannya terjadi di sepanjang stolon. Buah berwarna merah muda, merah atau ungu kecoklatan berjumlah 2–4 berdiameter cm, dan ditutupi oleh bracts seperti tulang belakang.[1]
Buah ara ini tumbuh di permukaan tanah, dimakan dan bijinya disebarkan oleh babi, rusa, tupai tanah, dan tikus. Fungsi bracts adalah untuk mencegah buah ditelan utuh oleh predator benih di permukaan tanah, seperti burung pegar dan ayam hutan.[2]
Distribusi dan habitat
Spesies ini terdapat di Kalimantan dan mungkin di Sumatera. Itu terjadi di sepanjang sungai dan di daerah perbukitan dan hutan pegunungan hingga ketinggian 2.000 M.[1]
