Tanggapan
Pada Januari 2019, film ini mendapat nominasi Best Live Action Short Film di Academy Awards ke-91.[3] Denise Fergus, ibu James Bulger, mengatakan bahwa ia "tidak suka dan kecewa" dengan film ini beserta nominasinya karena film ini dibuat tanpa persetujuan keluarganya. Ia sebelumnya menyebarkan petisi supaya film ini tidak dipertimbangkan oleh Academy. Petisi tersebut ditandatangani oleh 100.000 orang.[4] Sutradaranya, Vincent Lambe, mengatakan bahwa ia tidak akan menarik film ini dari ajang Academy Awards karena "menarik diri berlawanan dengan tujuan film ini".[5]
