Devarim (parsyah)

Devarim, D'varim, atau Debarim (דְּבָרִים — Ibrani untuk "hal" atau "firman", kata kedua, dan kata distinsif pertama, dalam parsyah) adalah Bacaan Taurat Mingguan (פָּרָשָׁה, parsyah) ke-44 dalam siklus bacaan Taurat Yahudi dan pertama dalam Kitab Ulangan. Bacaan tersebut meliputi Ulangan 1:1–3:22 Parsyah tersebut berkisah tentang bagaimana Musa memilih para kepala suku, peristiwa dua belas pengintai, pergumulan suku Edom dan Ammon, perebutan Sihon dan Og, dan pemberian wilayah untuk suku-suku Ruben, Suku Gad dan Manasseh.

Parsyah tersebut terdiri dari 5.972 huruf Ibrani, 1.548 kata Ibranim, 105 ayat, dan meliputi sekitar 197 baris dalam Gulungan Kitab Taurat (סֵפֶר תּוֹרָה, Sefer Torah).^[1] Yahudi umumnya membacanya pada Juli atau Agustus. Bacaan tersebut selalu dibaca pada Sabat Chazon, Sabat langsung sebelum Tisha B'Av.
