Diapedesis
Diapedesis adalah kemampuan untuk menembus keluar pori-pori membran kapiler[1] dan menuju ke jaringan. Dalam tubuh manusia kemampuan diapedesis ini dimiliki oleh sel darah putih (leukosit).[2]
Mekanisme
Perekrutan leukosit dari aliran darah ke jaringan adalah langkah kunci dalam pengawasan kekebalan dan pertahanan inang terhadap patogen. Ini juga merupakan faktor penting dalam peradangan akut dan kronis. Oleh karena itu, penjelasan peristiwa molekuler yang mendasari emigrasi leukosit ke jaringan dalam keadaan fisiologis dan patologis penting dalam memahami mekanisme penyakit dan dalam merancang terapi baru.[3]
