Ferovanadium
Ferovanadium adalah logam ferro yang mengandung sedikitnya 35% vanadium dan logam tambahan dalam jumlah yang sedikit. Temperatur peleburannya sekitar 1500 oC. Penggunaan utama dari ferovanadium adalah dalam pembuatan beberapa jenis baja konstruksi dan pisau potong yang bekerja pada kecepatan tinggi.[1] Pembuatan ferovanadium dilakukan dengan metode siliko-termis dan menggunakan tanur peleburan baja dalam batas pengisian seberat 3–5 ton. Bahan baku yang digunakan untuk peleburan ialah penta-oksida vanadium, ferosilikon dan batu kapur.[2]
