Gerbil kerdil (Gerbillus henleyi) tersebar terutama di Aljazair hingga Israel dan Jazirah Arab. Spesies ini juga dikenal sebagai gerbil henley atau dipodil kerdil. Spesies ini merupakan sejenis gerbil kecil berekor panjang dengan punggung cokelat kekelabuan dengan bercak-bercak putih. Selain itu, hewan ini memiliki molar atas yang kecil.[2] Gerbil kecil, seperti spesies gerbil lainnya dalam genus Gerbillus, mencari makan pada malam hari dan memiliki diet berbasis tumbuhan, yang penting sebagai sumber makanan sekaligus air bagi mereka.[3]
