Huvenia

Huvenia adalah genus tumbuhan yang telah punah dari zaman Devon Awal (pada Pragium atau Siegenium, sekitar 411 hingga 408 juta tahun yang lalu), yang ditemukan di endapan batu tulis di Rhenish Massif.^[1] Generasi sporofit terdiri dari batang tak berdaun (kapak), yang tampak pipih, dan bercabang secara dikotomis. Untaian jaringan pengangkut mengandung trakeid sederhana, menjadikannya sebagai tumbuhan berpembuluh. Sporangia (organ pembentuk spora) lahir di ujung batang bercabang pendek (sporangiofor), bukan di ujung batang utama seperti pada beberapa tumbuhan darat purba lainnya. Sporangia tampak bengkok, tetapi tidak jelas apakah fitur tumbuhan ini pernah ada dalam kehidupan atau berkembang setelah kematian.^[2]
