Jonathan Bruce Postel (/pəˈstɛl/; 6 Agustus 1943 – 16 Oktober 1998) adalah ilmuwan komputer Amerika Serikat yang memiliki sumbangsih besar dalam pengembangan Internet, terutama standar-standarnya. Ia lebih dikenal sebagai editor seri dokumen Request for Comment (RFC), Simple Mail Transfer Protocol (SMTP), dan pengelola Internet Assigned Numbers Authority (IANA) sampai meninggal dunia. Sepanjang hidupnya, ia diberi julukan "dewa[2] Internet" karena pengaruhnya sangat besar.
Sebagai bentuk penghormatan kepada Jon Postel, Internet Society menganugerahkan Postel Award dan Universitas Southern California mendirikan Postel Center di Information Sciences Institute. Wartamertanya ditulis oleh Vint Cerf dan diterbitkan dengan kode RFC 2468. Pada tahun 2012, Internet Society memasukkan nama Postel ke dalam Internet Hall of Fame.[3] Gedung Pengelola Domain Kepulauan Channel diberi nama Gedung Postel pada awal 2016.[4][5]
