MIL-CD
MIL-CD atau Music Interactive Live CD adalah format cakram padat yang diciptakan oleh perusahaan permainan video Sega pada 1999.[1]
Tujuan utama MIL-CD adalah untuk menambahkan fungsi multimedia kepada CD musik, untuk digunakan pada konsol permainan Sega Dreamcast. Contohnya, rilis musik MIL-CD akan dilengkapi menu navigasi yang disempurnakan, kemampuan internet, dan video layar penuh. Format ini mirip format CD Extra atau Enhanced CD yang di mana sesi pertama berisi audio untuk diputar pada pemutar CD musik, sedangkan sesi kedua berisi data untuk penggunaan pada komputer.
Dukungan Dreamcast untuk format MIL-CD memungkinkan para peretas untuk membobol keamanan Dreamcast, memungkinkan penciptaan utilitas seperti emulator PlayStation Bleemcast, penciptaan permainan homebrew, dan kemampuan untuk menjalankan game bajakan dan game dari wilayah lain melalui Code Breaker atau Utopia bootdisk.
