Masyarakat agraris atau masyarakat pertanian, adalah komunitas yang ekonominya didasarkan pada produksi dan pemeliharaan tanaman pangan dan lahan pertanian. Cara lain untuk mendefinisikan masyarakat agraria adalah dengan melihat seberapa besar total produksi suatu negara berasal dari pertanian. Dalam masyarakat agraris, mengolah tanah merupakan sumber utama kekayaan. Masyarakat seperti itu mungkin mengakui cara lain untuk mencari nafkah dan kebiasaan kerja, tetapi menekankan pentingnya pertanian dan peternakan. Masyarakat agraris telah ada di berbagai belahan dunia sejak 10.000 tahun yang lalu dan terus ada hingga saat ini. Masyarakat agraris telah menjadi bentuk organisasi sosial-ekonomi yang paling umum dalam sebagian besar sejarah manusia yang tercatat.
