Matudaea adalah genus tumbuhan dalam keluarga Hamamelidaceae.
Spesies Matudaea tersebar dari Meksiko bagian selatan melalui Amerika Tengah hingga Kolombia.[1]
Nama genus Matudaea diberikan untuk menghormati Eizi Matuda (1894–1978), seorang botaniwan Meksiko keturunan Jepang.[2]
Genus ini dideskripsikan oleh Cyrus Longworth Lundell dalam Lloydia vol. 3 pada halaman 209 tahun 1940.
