Metanaselenol adalah sebuah senyawa organoselenium dengan rumus kimia CH3SeH. Senyawa ini merupakan selenol yang paling sederhana. Gas beracun yang tidak berwarna ini terkenal karena baunya yang busuk dan menyengat.
Senyawa ini dibuat dengan mereaksikan metil litium atau reagen Grignard metil dengan selenium yang diikuti oleh protonasi produk. Senyawa ini merupakan sebuah metabolit.[1][2]
Menurut spektroskopi IR, νSe-H = 2342 cm−1. Untuk homolog lainnya, νE-H = 1995 (E = Te), 2606 (E = S), dan 3710 cm−1 (E = O) untuk metanatelurol, metanatiol, dan metanol.[3]
