Notarium
Notarium atau os dorsale adalah sebuah tulang yang terdiri dari vertebra yang menyatu pada bahu burung dan beberapa pterosaurus. Struktur ini membantu menguatkan bagian dada agar lebih tahan gaya yang dihasilkan oleh sayap. Pada burung, vertebratanya hanya berhubungan dengan vertebra yang ada setelahnya sekaligus rusuk, sementara di beberapa pterosaurus notariumnya terartikulasi dengan skapula. Persendian ini hanya ditemukan pada tetrapoda, karena tidak ada taksa yang memiliki hubungan langsung antara gelang bahu dan koluma vertebra (meski dalam spesies dengan klavikula, klavikulanya terartikulasi dengan sternum, yang terhubung dengan vertebra via rusuk, menghasilkan hubungan yang tidak langsung).
Pada burung, notarium ditemukan di Galliformes, Columbidae, Tinamidae, Podicipedidae, Phalacrocoracidae, Threskiornithidae, Phoenicopteridae, Falconidae, Gruidae, Aramidae, Psophiidae, Rhinochetidae, Eurypygidae, Mesitornithidae, Pteroclidae, Opisthocomidae dan Steatornithidae.[1]
