NuGet merupakan sebuah perangkat lunak manajer paket sumber terbuka yang didesain untuk lingkungan pengembangan Microsoft (dahulu dikenal sebagai NuPack).[2][3] Sejak kemunculannya pada tahun 2010, NuGet telah berkembang menjadi ekosistem yang besar.[4]
NuGet didistribusikan sebagai ekstensi Visual Studio. Semenjak Visual Studio 2012, NuGet telah terpasang secara otomatis. NuGet juga terintegrasi dengan SharpDevelop. NuGet juga bisa digunakan dari antarmuka baris perintah dan diotomatisasi dengan skrip.
Mendukung berbagai bahasa pemrograman, diantaranya:

Chocolatey[8] merupakan sebuah manajer paket tingkat mesin dan pemasang (installer) untuk paket perangkat lunak, dibuat untuk lingkungan Windows NT. Menggunakan infrastruktur NuGet dan Windows PowerShell untuk menyediakan perangkat otomatisasi dalam pemasangan perangkat lunak yang simpel dari sisi pengguna.[9]
Chocolatey bisa dipanggil oleh modul PackageManagement (dulu dikenal sebagai 'OneGet')[10] di PowerShell versi 5.0.[11]
