Ostiolum

Ostiolum (atau ostiole) adalah lubang atau bukaan kecil tempat alga^[1] atau jamur melepaskan spora mereka yang telah matang.

Kata ini merupakan bentuk diminutif dari "ostium", yang berarti "bukaan".

Istilah ini juga digunakan pada tumbuhan tingkat tinggi, contohnya untuk merujuk pada bukaan dari syconium (perbungaan ara) yang terlipat ke dalam, tempat tawon ara masuk untuk melakukan penyerbukan dan berkembang biak. Spesies *Pharmacosycea* memiliki pola susunan yang saling mengunci, namun terdapat pengecualian pada *insipida* karena bagian tersebut sebagian menutupi ostiolum. Pada sisi adaksial braktea terdiri dari sel-sel kubik, yang memiliki reaksi pewarnaan dan mengandung senyawa fenolik.

Terkadang, celah stomata juga disebut sebagai "ostiolum".^[2]
