Pezizales adalah sebuah ordo dalam subfilum Pezizomycotina dari filum Ascomycota. Ordo ini mencakup 16 famili, 199 genera dan 1683 spesies.[1] Pezizales mencakup sejumlah spesies dengan kepentingan ekonomis tinggi, seperti jamur spons, trafel hitam dan putih, serta trafel gurun. Pezizales dapat berupa jamur saprobik, mikorizal, atau parasit tumbuhan. Spesies-spesiesnya tumbuh di tanah, kayu, dedaunan dan kotoran. Spesies yang tinggal di tanah umumnya mekar pada habitat dengan kadar pH tinggi dan kandungan materi organik rendah, termasuk tanah terganggu. Kebanyakan spesies hidup di wilayah iklim sedang atau di ketinggian tinggi. Beberapa spesies dari Sarcoscyphaceae dan Sarcosomataceae umum ditemukan di wilayah tropis.
