Philoxenos dari Kythira
Philoxenos dari Kythira (bahasa Yunani: Φιλόξενος ὁ Κυθήριος; skt. 435–380 SM) merupakan seorang penyair Dithurambos Yunani yang berasal dari pulau Kythira dan eksponen "musik baru".
Pada penaklukkan pulau oleh orang Athena ia dibawa sebagai budak ke Athena, di mana ia bertemu dengan penyair Dithurambos, Melanippides, yang mendidiknya dan membebaskannya. Philoxenos kemudian tinggal di Sisilia, di istana Dionysius, tiran Sirakusa, yang ayat-ayat buruknya ia tolak untuk dipuji, dan akibatnya dikirim untuk bekerja di pertambangan. Setelah meninggalkan Sisilia, ia bepergian ke Yunani, Italia dan Asia, membaca puisi-puisinya dan meninggal di Ephesos.
