Piala Super Portugal (pengucapan bahasa Portugis: [ˈsupɛɾ ˈtasɐ ˈkɐ̃didu dɨ oliˈvɐjɾɐ]; bahasa Portugis: Supertaça Cândido de Oliveira; bahasa Inggris: Supercup Cândido de Oliveira atau bahasa Inggris: Portuguese SuperCup), adalah kejuaraan sepak bola di Portugal yang diikuti oleh juara Primeira Liga dan Piala Portugal musim sebelumnya. Kejuaraan ini dimulai sejak tahun 1979.

Pada musim 1943–44, Piala Super diciptakan untuk pertandingan khusus antara Primeira Divisão juara Sporting CP dan Taça de Portugal pemenang Benfica, pada kesempatan peresmian Estádio Nacional.  Trofi yang dipesan diberi nama Taça Império - jangan salah dengan Taça do Império, inkarnasi pertama dari Taça de Portugal.  Usai pertandingan, diputuskan kompetisi dilanjutkan, namun kemudian dibatalkan.  Inkarnasi kedua datang 20 tahun kemudian ketika Casa da Imprensa (Gedung Pers) melembagakan piala, Taça de Ouro da Imprensa untuk ditantang antara juara nasional dan pemenang piala.

Piala Super dimulai secara tidak resmi pada tahun 1978–79 dengan derby lokal antara Boavista (Pemegang Taça de Portugal) dan Porto (  Juara liga) yang berakhir dengan kemenangan 2–1 untuk Boavista.  Musim berikutnya, derby lain terjadi antara Benfica dan Sporting, yang merupakan Piala Super tidak resmi kedua dan yang pertama dimainkan dalam dua leg (kandang dan tandang).  Dengan keberhasilan kedua edisi Piala Super tidak resmi, Federasi Sepak Bola Portugal (FPF) memutuskan untuk menegakkan kompetisi setiap tahun dalam format dua kaki.  Edisi resmi pertama berlangsung di musim 1981–82, dengan nama saat ini.
Aturan menyatakan bahwa dua pertandingan dimainkan dan hasil agregat akan menentukan pemenangnya.  Jika hasil imbang terjadi, maka pertandingan ulangan harus dimainkan di tempat netral.  Ini terjadi enam kali — 1984, 1991, 1993, 1994  , 1995 dan 2000 — dengan pemutaran ulang edisi 1984 diperebutkan lagi dalam dua leg.
Karena minat terhadap Piala Super memudar dan untuk mengurangi jadwal sepak bola yang padat, pada musim 2000-01, FPF memutuskan untuk menghapuskan format dua kaki dan pertandingan ulangan dan menggunakan pertandingan tunggal yang dimainkan di tempat netral untuk menentukan.  pemenang.
