Plenaster adalah sebuah genus spons laut monotipik dalam famili Stelligeridae.[1] Plenaster craigi menjadi satu-satunya spesies dalam genus ini. Spesies ini hidup di bebatuan di dasar Samudra Pasifik.[2][3]
Plenaster craigi dinamai bedasarkan spikula rangka mirip bintang yang terletak di dalam tubuh mereka.[4][5]
