Sila atau Dar Sila[2] adalah sebuah provinsi di Chad, yang terletak di tenggara negara tersebut. Provinsi ini dibentuk pada tahun 2008 dari departemen Sila dan Djourf Al Ahmar yang sebelumnya merupakan bagian dari Region Ouaddaï.[3] Ibu kota provinsi ini adalah Goz Beïda.
Geografi
Provinsi ini berbatasan dengan Provinsi Ouaddaï di sebelah utara, Sudan di sebelah timur, Republik Afrika Tengah di sebelah tenggara, Provinsi Salamat di sebelah barat daya, dan Provinsi Guéra di sebelah barat. Medannya pada umumnya berupa sabana datar, dengan beberapa bukit yang tersebar.
Pemukiman
Goz Beïda merupakan ibu kota provinsi; pemukiman besar lainnya termasuk Adé, Am Dam, Haouich, Kerfi, Koukou Angarana, Magrane, Mogororo, Moudeïna dan Tissi.[4]
Demografi
Berdasarkan sensus Chad tahun 2009, Sila memiliki populasi sebesar 387.461 jiwa.[1] Kelompok etnolinguistik utama adalah Birgit, Dar Sila Daju, Fongoro, Fur, Kajakse, Karanga, Kibet, Kujarge, Runga dan Sinyar.[5]
Pembagian administratif
Provinsi Sila dibagi menjadi lima departemen, yakni Kimiti, Abdi, Tissi, Adé dan Koukou-Angarana.
