Social Networks and Archival Context (SNAC) adalah proyek daring untuk mencari, menemukan, dan menggunakan catatan sejarah perorangan, keluarga, dan organisasi.[1]
Sejarah
SNAC dibentuk pada tahun 2010 lewat hibah National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) dari National Archives and Records Administration (NARA),[2] California Digital Library (CDL), Institute for Advanced Technology in the Humanities (IATH) di Universitas Virginia, dan University of California, Berkeley School of Information.[3][4][5] Andrew W. Mellon Foundation mendanai fase kedua SNAC pada tahun 2012 sampai 2014.[5]
Salah satu fitur proyek ini adalah grafik radial yang dapat mengidentifikasi jejaring sosial suatu subjek dengan tokoh-tokoh sejarah terkait.[6]
SNAC digunakan bersama arsip-arsip digital lain untuk menghubungkan berbagai catatan sejarah.[7]
