SafeSearch
SafeSearch adalah fitur yang terdapat pada Google Search dan Google Images yang berfungsi sebagai penyaring otomatis pornografi dan konten yang berpotensi menyinggung atau tidak pantas.[1][2]
Pada tanggal 11 November 2009, Google memperkenalkan kemampuan khusus bagi pengguna yang memiliki Akun Google untuk mengunci pengaturan SafeSearch pada hasil penelusuran Google. Setelah diatur, sandi akan dibutuhkan untuk mengubah pengaturan.[1]
Pada tanggal 12 Desember 2012, Google menghapus opsi untuk menonaktifkan saringan sepenuhnya, mengharuskan pengguna memasukkan kata kunci penelusuran yang lebih spesifik untuk mengakses konten dewasa.[3][4][5]
SafeSearch juga sering digunakan pada komputer sekolah, untuk mencegah murid mengakses konten pornografi.[6]
Pemerintah dan perusahaan internet juga dapat memberlakukan SafeSearch.[7]
