Sapi bulat
Sapi bulat (spherical cow) adalah sebuah metafor lelucon untuk model-model ilmiah dari fenomena-fenomena kompleks yang sangat disederhanakan.[1][2][3][4] Dimulai dari komunitas fisika teori, metafor ini merujuk kepada kecenderungan fisikawan untuk menyederhanakan sebuah masalah hingga ke wujud yang sesederhana mungkin untuk membuat perhitungan yang lebih mudah, bahkan meski penyederhanaan ini menghalangi penggunaan model tersebut pada dunia nyata.
Sekarang metafor ini, bersamaan dengan variasi-variasinya, sudah digunakan pada disiplin ilmiah lainnya.
