Sophie Wilson
Sophie Mary Wilson (lahir sebagai Roger Wilson pada bulan Juni 1957) adalah seorang ilmuwan komputer asal Inggris, seorang perancang set instruksi untuk arsitektur ARM.[1][2][3] Wilson pertama kali merancang mikrokomputer di Selwyn College, Cambridge. Ia lalu bergabung dengan Acorn Computers dan berperan penting dalam mendesain BBC Microcomputer, termasuk bahasa pemrograman BBC BASIC.[4] Ia pertama mendesain komputer set instruksi yang dikurangi ARM pada 1983, yang diproduksi dua tahun kemudia. Desain ini menjadi populer dalam sistem terbenam yang sekarang menjadi arsitektur prosesor yang paling banyak digunakan di ponsel cerdas. Pada tahun 2011, ia terdaftar dalam Maximum PC nomor 8 dalam artikel yang berjudul "15 Perempuan Paling Penting dalam Sejarah Teknologi" (Inggris: The 15 Most Important Women in Tech History).[5] Ia menjadi Commander of the Order of the British Empire pada 2019.
