BBC Television
BBC Television adalah sebuah layanan dari British Broadcasting Corporation. Perusahaan tersebut telah beroperasi di Britania Raya di bawah naungan sebuah piagam kerajaan sejak tahun 1927. Ini memproduksi program-program televisi dari studio-studionya sendiri sejak 1932, meskipun layanan siaran televisi regulernya dimulai pada 2 November 1936.[1]
Saluran-saluran televisi domestik BBC tak memiliki periklanan komersial dan secara kolektif mereka meliputi lebih dari 30% dari seluruh tontonan di Inggris.[2] Layanan tersebut didanai oleh sebuah lisensi televisi.
Akibat penetapan Lisensi Berbayar tahun 2016, divisi BBC Television terpecah, dengan produksi televisi dalam rumah terbagi dalam sebuah divisi baru yang disebut BBC Studios dan bagian sisa dari televisi (pengkomisian saluran dan genre, BBC Sport, BBC Three dan BBC iPlayer) berganti nama menjadi BBC Content.[3]
