Tessaria absinthioides adalah spesies tumbuhan berbunga halofit dalam keluarga Asteraceae.
Meskipun lebih suka tumbuh di sepanjang tepian sungai,[1] tanaman ini sangat mudah beradaptasi dengan berbagai lingkungan yang berbeda, yang paling menonjol adalah Gurun Atacama. Di sini, di Pampa del Tamarugal, tanaman ini memperoleh kelembapan hampir secara eksklusif melalui kabut.[2][3][4]
Tanaman ini juga dikenal sebagai tanaman kompas.[1]
