De Mercurius Cissonius (au Cisonius) isch en keltische Gott gsii. Sin Name werd zum gallische Wort cissium »Wage« gstellt, drum werd er as Wagegott aaglueget. Well Wäge för Händler wichtig sind, passt da guet zu sinere Gliichsetzig mitem römische Handelsgott Mercurius. Er isch denn au vor alem a Maartort oder Stroossestatione vereert wore.
De Cissonius isch bsundrigs i de römische Provinze Germania inferior und Germania superior vereert worde, aber au vo de Helvetier[1] und binochbuurte Stämm. Im ganze sind guet e Dotzet epigraphischi Inschrifte vonem bikannt. Inere Inschrift us Promontogno im Bergell, enere Stroosestation, werd er Mercurius Cissonius Matutinus gnennt[2].
