1152 isch Diegtä s'erschti Moll urkundlig erwähnt worde (als Dietinghoven). Dr Name hetts sich gwandlet zu Dietinghofen, Dietikon, Dietken und schliesslig Diegtä. Bereits zur Zyt vo de Reemer hän Lyt uff em Gmeinibann vo Diegtä gläbt. Ab 1487 isch Diegtä unter dr Herrschaft vo Basel gstande.
