Geografi
Lyyssach ligt im Ämmitau. D Gmeindsflächi bsteit us 52,6 % langwirtschaftlecher Flächi, 30,4 % Waud, 15,3 % Sidligsflächi u 1,7 % süschtigi Flächi.[2] D Nachburgmeinde si Chiuperg, Burdlef, Rüti, Mötschwiu, Hingubank, Chäärneried, Froubrunne u Rüetlige-Aueflüe.
Gschicht
Lyyssach isch zum erschte Mal gnennt worde im Jahr 894 aus Lihsacho, 1255 Lissacho. Bis zum 31. Dezämber 2009 het d Gmeind zum Bezirk Buurdlef ghört.
