Apia je glavni grad Samoe.[1] Ima 35 700 stanovnika. Meteorološka je i vulkanološka stanica. Od sredine 19. vijeka važno trgovačko središte južnog dijela Tihog okeana. Bila je njemački posjed od 1899. do 1914., kao i sjedište novozelandskog mandatnog područja od 1914. do 1962.
Pisac Robert Luis Stivenson je proveo dio života u Apiji, i sahranjen je u blizini grada.
