Arkada
Arkada (lat. arcus luk) predstavlja dva stuba povezana lukom, odnosno niz takvih stubova povezanih lukovima. U arhitekturi označava svodište, nasvođe; luk između dvaju stubova; niz lukova koji počivaju na stubovima. Upotrebljavaju se u graditeljstvu još iz vremena egipatskih hramova do danas. Katkada su arkadama okruženi trgovi ili nizovi ulica. U bazilikama i srednjovjekovnim crkvama arkade dijele glavni od pobočnih brodova. Slijepe arkade dekorativno raščlanjuju zid, ali ga ne probijaju, što je posebno uočljivo u arhitekturi iz vremena romanike i gotike.[1]
