Christian Doppler
Christian Doppler (Salzburg , 29. novembar 1803. - Venecija, 17. mart 1853. godine) je bio austrijski fizičar.[1][2][3]
Godine 1842. objavio je u Pragu raspravu "O obojenoj svjetlosti dvostrukih zvijezda" u kojoj je obradio pojavu koja nosi njegovo ime (Dopplerov efekt) čije je otkriće imalo duboki uticaj na mnoga područja moderne nauke i tehnologije, uključujući medicinu.[4] To je promjena promatrane frekvencije valova pri relativnom kretanju njihova izvora i promatrača.
