Vjerovatna ATP-ovisna RNK-helikaza DDX52 je enzim koji je kod ljudi kodiran genom DDX52.[5][6]

Pretragom EST baza podataka koristeći otvoreni okvir čitanja (ORF) S. cerevisiae, Stanchi et al. (2001) identificirali su DDX52, kojeg su nazvali HUSSY19. Izvedeni protein sa 420 aminokiselina dijeli 45% identiteta s kvaščevim Rok1, navodnom ATP-ovisnom RNK-helikazom iz boksne porodice DEAD. Radijacijskom hibridnom analizom, mapirali su gen DDX52 u hromosomskoj regijiom 17q21.1.[7]

Dužina polipeptidnog lanca je 599 aminokiselina, a molekulska težina 67.498 Da.[8]
