Fundão

Fundão je vještačko ostrvo u Guanabara zalivu, u gradu Rio de Janeiro. Na mjestu današnjeg ostrva postojao je arhipelag malih ostrvca, na kojima je nasipanjem zemlje nastao Fundao. Ostrvo je nastalo prije 50 godina.
Na ostrvu se nalazi sjedište najvećeg univerziteta u Brazilu, Federalnog Univerziteta Rio de Janeiro (Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro, UFRJ), čiji se jedan od kampusa također nalazi na ovom ostrvu i praktično zauzima cijelo ostrvo.
