GLUT ili OpenGL Aplikacioni Alat (OpenGL Utility Toolkit) jeste biblioteka za OpenGL programe koji rade sa ulazno/izlaznim instrukcijama na domicilnom operativnom sistemu. Neke od funkcija izvršavaju zadatke kao što su definicija i kontrola otvorenih prozora kao i konstantno praćenje signala generisanih mišem ili tastaturom. Rutine za crtanje velikog broja osnovnih geometrijskih oblika su takodje uključeni u ovoj biblioteci.
GLUT je napisao autor OpenGL Programiranja za X Windows sisteme (OpenGL Programming for the X Window System) Mark J. Kilgard. GLUT je napisan iz dva razloga; da olakša učenje OpenGL-a i da omogući portabilan programerski kód (GLUT se može koristiti na vise operativnih sistema). Primjer GLUT distribucije je PyOpenGL softverski paket čija je svrha povezati Python sa OpenGL-om i slicnim API-ima.
