Geissoloma je rod endemskih cvjetnica u monotipskoj porodici Geissolomataceae u Provinciji Cape, Južna Afrika.[1] Biljke su kserofitni zimzeleni grmovi, za kojeje poznato je da skupljaju aluminij.[2]
Opis
Geissoloma marginatum je niski zimzeleni grm visok 0,5 – 1,25 m, prekriven velikim, kožnatim, jednostavnim, ljestvičatim naspramnim listovima u četiri reda duž stabljike. Na peteljćicama ima vrlo male zaliske. Cvjetovi su dvospolni, podržane braktejama i imaju četiri crvena do ružičasta petaloidna čašična lista, četiri latice djelomično sjedinjene, osam prašnika i četiri plodna lista (karpele). Plod je kapsula sa četiri sjemenke.[3][4]
Jedina vrsta u porodici je Geissoloma marginatum.[5]
