Interlingue je logičan i jednostavan međunarodni jezik stvoren da bi olakšao i demokratizirao komunikaciju među ljudima različitih govornih sredina i kultura.
Interlingue (ISO 639 ie., ile ), izvorno Occidental,[1] međunarodni je pomoćni jezik nastao 1922. i preimenovan 1949. godine. Njegov tvorac, Edgar de Wahl, nastojao je postići maksimalnu gramatičku pravilnost i prirodan karakter. Rječnik se zasniva na već postojećim riječima iz različitih jezika i derivacijskom sistemu koji koristi prepoznate prefikse i sufikse.
