LILRB2

Receptor iz porodice imunoglobulinu sličnih receptora leukocita, podgrupa B, član 2, je protein koji je kod ljudi kodiran genom LILRB2.[1][2][3]

Ovaj gen je član porodice receptora sličnih imunoglobulinima leukocita (LIR), koja se nalazi u genskom klasteru na hromosomskoj regiji 19q13.4. Kodirani protein pripada klasi receptora podgrupe B iz LIR porodice, koji sadrže dva ili četiri vanćelijska imunoglobulinska domena, transmembranski domen i dva do četiri citoplazmatska inhibitorna motiva bazirana na tirozinima imunoreceptora (ITIM). Receptor se izražava na imunim ćelijama, gdje se veže za MHC molekule klase I na ćelijama koje prezentuju antigene i prenosi negativni signal koji inhibira stimulaciju imunskog odgovora. Smatra se da kontroliše upalne odgovore i citotoksičnost kako bi usmjerio imuni odgovor i ograničio autoreaktivnost. Za ovaj gen je pronađeno više transkriptnih varijanti koje kodiraju različite izoforme proteina.[3]

LILRB2 ima ključnu ulogu u inhibiciji regeneracije aksona i funkcionalnog oporavka nakon povrede mozga. Međutim, nedavne studije pokazuju da je LILRB2 receptor za β-amiloid i da može doprinijeti gubitku sinapsi i kognitivnim oštećenjima kod Alzheimerove bolesti.[4]
