Life for rent je drugi studijski album britanske pjevačice Dido Armstrong, objavljen 2003 godine. Prvi objavljeni singl sa ovog albuma bila je pjesma White flag, koja je uskoro postala svjetski hit. U video-spotu snimljenom za pjesmu White flag pojavljuje se zvijezda serija Buffy - ubica vampira i Anđeo - David Boreanaz. Drugi veliki hit sa ovog albuma je pjesma Stoned, koja je remiksovana bila uspješna u brojnim klubovima u SAD. Treći i četvrti singl, Life for rent i Don't leave home, respektivno, nisu postigli u SAD ni izbliza takav uspjeh kao White flag.
Album Life for rent je bio nominovan za BRIT Award 2004 godine, zajedno s albumima Daniela Bedingfielda, Blura i The Coral. Ali te godine, nagradu je odnio album Permission to Land grupe The Darkness. Međutim, pjesma White flag je iste godine dobila nagradu Ivor Novello u kategoriji Međunarodni hit godine.
