MUPCDH
Mucinski i kadherinoliki protein je protein koji je kod ljudi kodiran genom MUPCDH.[5][6][7]
Ovaj gen je novi gen sličan mucinu koji je član potporodice kadherina. Dok kodiranje mucinskih nepolimorfnih tandemskih ponavljanja bogatih prolinom, serinom i s treoninom sličnih proteina, gen također sadrži sekvencu kojs kodira motive vezanja kalcija koji se nalaze u svim kadherinima. Uloga hibridne vanćelijske regije i specifična funkcija ovog proteina još nisu utvrđene. Identificiran je alternativna prerada, pri čemu je uočena varijacija rezultirala prisutnošću ili odsutnošću domena. Osim toga, dolazi do spajanja u 5' UTR-a, ali transkripti, uključujući i ove varijante nisu u potpunosti opisani.[7]
