Manhattan
Manhattan (fon. Menhetn) je gradska oblast grada New Yorka.[1] Okružen je rijekama Hudson i East. Manhattan ima 1,537,195 stanovnika, ali je najmanja gradska oblast grada New Yorka sa površinom od 61,4 km2(23,7 mi2), zbog čega ima najveću gustinu naseljenosti od čak 25.800 st/km2, odnosno 66.900 st/mi2.
Na Manhattanu se nalazi glavna uprava grada New Yorka, odnosno gradska vijećnica i općinski sud New York, te je Manhattan ujedno i centralna gradska oblast grada New Yorka. Zbog toga se u zvaničnim dokumentima zove samo New York, NY, što nije slučaj za ostale četiri gradske oblasti grada New Yorka, koje se koriste svojim izvornim imenima tj. Queens,NY, Brooklyn,NY, The Bronx, NY i Staten Island, NY.
