Martin Charles Scorsese [čit. skɔrˈsɛsi] američki je filmski režiser, scenarist, filmski producent i historičar filma.[1]
Njegovo italijansko porijeklo često se osjetilo kroz njegove filmove jer su vrlo često bili vezani za teme o Amerikancima porijeklom iz Italije. Scoresese je vjerovatno najviše poznat po svojim filmovima o mafiji. Osvojio je Oscara za najboljeg režisera za film Pokojni na 79. dodjeli 2007; film je osvojio Oscare i za najbolji film, najbolju montažu i najbolji adaptirani scenarij. To je bio prvi Scorseseov Oscar, iako je bio nominiran čak šest puta.
