Metropolis (Superman)
Metropolis je fiktivni grad koji se pojavljuje u stripovima koje objavljuju DC Comics, kao grad gdje živi Superman. Metropolis se prvi put pojavio u Action Comics #16, 1939. godine.
Metropolis je opisan kao glavni amerčki grad na Istočnoj obali SAD-a. Poznat je i kao jedan od najvećih i najbogatijih gradova na svijetu. Kokreator i originalni crtač Supermana, Joe Shuster, modelirao je Metropolis po uzoru na Toronto, gdje rođen i gdje je živio do desete godine.[1] Od tada, Metropolis je postao grad ispirisan po uzoru na New York.
